Enterprise platforms
Platforms that create enterprise value.
Architecture, strategy and delivery of enterprise platforms and governed AI systems. One architect owns the thesis, the design, the build and the operations, so nothing is lost between them.
01 The thesis
Enterprise software is slow because of handoffs, not typing.
A strategist writes a requirement. An architect turns it into a design. A team writes the code. Another team runs it. Every handoff loses information and adds a queue. I remove the handoffs by doing all four.
Remove the handoffs
One person owns the thesis, the architecture, the build and the operations. Nothing gets lost between people, because there is no between.
Replace them with rules
Locked contracts and enforced boundaries instead of coordination meetings. The build itself refuses anything that breaks the rules.
Keep the discipline
Phase gates, written records and honest scope, so nothing is lost to speed. Every decision survives after I am gone.
02 The proof
Two enterprise platforms. One architect.
Each would conventionally need a product team of fifteen to thirty people and eighteen months. I designed, built and operate both as the sole architect and engineer. Both are in use today. Names are withheld; walkthroughs are available under NDA.
Cognitive crisis rehearsal
A text prompt becomes a branching, AI-driven crisis exercise in about ninety seconds. It runs live against an executive team, scores decision quality with plain arithmetic and seals the evidence. No language model sits in the scoring path.
Incident command and defensibility
One governed picture for the commander, security operations, legal, communications and the executive team during a live incident. Board, regulator and insurer evidence is produced as a byproduct of the work, not written afterwards.
| Domain | System | What it proves |
|---|---|---|
| SME regulation | Messaging-first compliance co-pilot | 20 feature modules, 564 passing tests, 12 languages, any messaging channel |
| Construction | Document-to-register extraction | A seven layer self-improving AI pipeline with a measured autonomy rate |
| Rental finance | Revenue reconciliation and ledger control | Money math centralised and unit-tested, every financial action audited |
| Recruitment | Vertical marketplace | Programmatic search architecture and real billing, end to end |
| Sales operations | Agentic outbound engine | A multi-agent research and drafting pipeline, with a human approval before anything sends |
03 Platforms and value
Where platform work meets enterprise value.
A platform is worth what it lets a business do, prove and sell. The same discipline runs through the advisory work.
- Vendor technology diligence. For owners preparing a sale: the technology estate reviewed as an acquirer's team would review it.
- Platform strategy. Where to build, buy or consolidate, written as a thesis with the reasoning and the case against.
- Governed AI systems. Model output can only propose a typed action; a person with the right permission executes it. Every model call passes one audited gate.
- Claim discipline. A written record of what the system does, kept apart from what would sell better.
04 Engagements
Three formats. Fixed price, agreed before we start.
If something is not listed, it is not in scope, and you should ask for it.
Problem conversion sprint
When you are not yet sure the problem is solvable, or worth solving.
- A one-page written thesis
- A target architecture, with the reasoning
- A working output you can put in front of a person
- A go or stop recommendation, including the case against
Build engagement
When the problem is shaped and you want the working system.
- Six phases, each with a written gate condition
- A working increment at every gate
- The end-to-end test passes on your infrastructure
- A nine-document handover set
Advisory or retained capacity
When you have a team, and what you are short of is someone senior to argue with.
- A written architecture review every month
- Decision records for every significant choice
- Target architectures and interface contracts
- Challenge from someone with no stake in the last decision

Next step
Bring me a problem.
A short description by email is enough. You get a written answer on whether it can be solved, how, and how quickly. If it is not a fit, I will say who is.
